About Quilt City USA® Murals

Quilt City USA® Murals is a privately funded floodwall mural series featuring paintings of actual quilts. The site of this 24/7 public art project is the 332 foot floodwall adjacent to the Schroeder Expo and Carroll Convention Center, at 415 Park Street, the location of Paducah’s AQS QuiltWeek® convention, which draws more than 30,000 visitors to this UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Arts each year.

The mission of Quilt City USA® Murals is to educate both locals and visitors on the relevance and rich history of QUILTMAKING! From the early settlers, to the Civil War, the Industrial Revolution, and the Bicentennial Celebration of 1976 and beyond, the history of America can be seen in the history of quilts.

Paducah Quilt Murals Inc, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, was created for the Quilt City USA® Murals Project. Your tax deductible contribution will enable us to fill these floodwall panels more quickly and establish educational programs to celebrate this exciting artform for generations to come.

Donate to the Quilt City USA® Mural Project

The Quilt City USA Mural Project is many things to many different people: it’s a treasure of quilts with historical and educational notoriety, a unique public art display that is free to the public, and resource for combining quilts and local muralists. The Mural Project is entirely funded by private donations and grants.

None of this is possible without the support of the community and those we are privileged to serve.  No gift is too small and you can be part of putting more murals on the floodwall in Paducah, Kentucky.
